What days and times does my child play?
The boys play on Monday and Wednesday nights. The girls play on Tuesday and Thursday nights. 6U is co-ed and plays on Monday and Wednesday nights.
My child changed his/her mind, can I get a refund?
The club will refund registration fees for the following reasons:
A child is not placed on a team due to a shortage of coaching volunteers.
An injury which occurs before the start of the season prevents the child from participating.
A child contracts a serious illness which prevents them from participating.
A family moves out of town (the Rochester District Youth Soccer League area).
A player withdraws from in-house to join a RHSC travel team. (In this case, we will transfer funds paid to travel.)
The
must be notified by April 15th of that year to request a refund. Refunds will not be issued once rosters have been decided and uniforms ordered.
We will not reimburse for the following reasons:
A family is unhappy with team placement.
The child also registers for another activity (ie: sport, work, camp, etc.) with a conflicting schedule.
A family is unable to provide transportation for the child.
A child withdraws to join a travel team with another club.
How much does it cost to register?
Registration Fees for the 2020 season are as follows:
$70/player (Early Bird) between November 1, 2021 - January 8, 2022
$80/player (Regular Rate) between January 9, 2022 - March 31, 2022.
What equipment does my child need to play soccer?
The club requires all children to have shin guards and moulded soccer cleats or a good athletic shoe. They are also encouraged to bring a water bottle to each practice or game. Each player will be given socks, shorts, and a team jersey to wear (all included with your registration fee)
What is the schedule for games & practice?
Your coach will distribute a schedule for the season via our website and at the first practice.
How long is your season?
The season usually runs from May through July every year. This year (2020) the season will start during the last week of April and end in late July. The season game schedule will be released in mid-May.
Is there a Fall season too? At this time we do not have a Fall season.
We registered online for soccer. What happens now?
Once registration closes for the season several things happen. Uniforms are ordered, coaches are assigned and teams are selected. As it gets closer to our start date your child's coach will contact you to introduce themselves and give you info on the first practice. If for some reason you do not hear something please email the club.
The weather looks horrible...are we still playing soccer today?
The club still plays soccer in the rain. If there is a severe weather alert or any lightning your coach will contact you to let you know if soccer is canceled. Any visible lightning during soccer and the game will be called.
When will we find out about our child's team & schedule?
Coaches will usually begin contacting players in late April and will inform you of the first practice date, location and time. They should also give you a schedule of the season at the first practice. There are sometimes situations where we can not fill the coaching positions quickly enough and you may not receive a call until very close to the season start. If you do not receive a call a week before the season start please
and we will let you know what is going on with your team.
I'm interested in coaching for the club. Who should I speak with?
We are always looking for coaches or assistant coaches! Please go to the REGISTRATION page and register to coach. We will be in contact with you soon.
My child was unable to attend the last game and did not get their year-end award; can we still get it?
Absolutely! We order awards for each registered player and wouldn't think of having one of our players go without. Please go to the CONTACT US page and send us your name, address, and phone number and we will contact you ASAP.
We live outside the Rush-Henrietta area. Can my child still play soccer in your league?
Usually, as long as there is room. The Rush-Henrietta soccer league by-laws in Article I, section 2-b state: Requests to play by non-residents will be honored in so far as no Rush or Henrietta resident is denied the same opportunity. So as long as roster spots are still open we can always welcome new players.
I see that registration has past for this year. Can I register late?
Unfortunately we have to stop taking registrations at the cut-off date. We cannot make exceptions for several reasons: We have several hundred children register each summer and uniforms need to be ordered from the manufacturer. This takes a great amount of time and we cannot order extras because of the cost involved.
We are going away on vacation this summer and will miss several games, can my child still play the other weeks?
Absolutely! The Recreation league is designed for kids to have fun and learn the proper skills to make them a good player. If you need to miss a couple games or practices that shouldn't be a problem. Please let your child's coach in advance that you will not be able to attend so they can plan accordingly.
I would like to volunteer for something but I'm busy during the week? Can I still help?
You bet! We can always use help with initial field set-up and field re-striping. We also could use people interested in working on the soccer board. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities listed here.
